is my wife cheating

is my wife cheating Is My Wife Cheating? Is my wife cheating?

This has to be one of the biggest fears that any husband has to face.

But, when you’re in a long term relationship with someone, one that rolls out over a number of years, it almost seems inevitable that it will be faced. The culture almost demands it. Or, so it seems.

I mean, let’s face it. A long term relationship requires a lot of work, and sometimes you just don’t feel like doing it.

Easier to let it slide a bit. Then a bit more.

Is My Wife Cheating & the Lost Track

And, before you know you it, you’ve completely lost track of each other. Heck. You’ve even lost track of yourself somewhere along the line as well.

You have your job that requires your constant attention, with all that pressure. You have a boss you have to deal with daily, co-workers that don’t handle their fair share of the load.

You have your kids that you’re raising. Homework. Teacher’s to meet and deal with. Books that you read to make sure that you’re raising them right and all those concerns.

There’s the up keep on the house and the mountain of debt that seems to slide more and more your way each year.

There’s her family and your family, the drama of each that you grow more and more impatient with as the time passes.

You look up one day, and you’ve lost part of yourself, a part of your soul. What happened to that person before all this, so long ago?

And, you know if you’re feeling it, she’s feeling it too. If you’re asking, “Is my wife cheating?” you can bet she’s probably wondering the same thing about you.  She is just as likely to be wondering if she’s seeing signs of cheating.

Is My Wife Cheating & Mechanical Existence

This mechanical existence takes over. Each day seems like a repeat of the one just previous. And, you ask yourself, “Where is the spontaneity in my life? Where is the creativity?”

Then one day, one or the other of you bumps into someone else. Maybe it’s an old flame from your past. Maybe it’s someone new. But, there’s a spark of something and suddenly there is the feeling that anything can happen again. The world is fresh and new.

Logically, at one time, neither of you would have ever thought anything could come between you, but now this attraction has taken hold, and you don’t know where it will lead. It’s creative and destructive at the same time.

And, the attraction isn’t really about the other person, it’s to the new, to that feeling of “I am being seen, and I see.”

Now the challenge, as I see it, in a long-standing relationship such I just described, is to keep it alive and current where each side of the couple has not fallen asleep to each other.

Can that be done?

If not, if that challenge is not answered, be prepared to be sitting somewhere at some time, with the cloak of suspicion and doubt nipping at you and asking, “Is my wife cheating on me? Really??”
